Brushy Peak Regional Preserve
Introduction
On January 10th, 2026, a windy day, I visited Brushy Peak Regional Preserve at Livermore, California, for hiking and photography. There was an interesting phenomenon where hundreds of seagulls were flying around in circles over the hills. I firstly thought they were trying to expel the raptors because there were a few raptors in the middle of them. However, after a while, even when the raptors flew away, the seagulls continued to fly in circles. There were also some California Scrub-Jays flying over my head from time to time when I was on the top of the hill.
