Introduction

On November 15th, 2025, I visited McClellan Ranch Preserve located at Cupertino, California, for a short hike. The Environmental Education Center happened to be open during that period of time. The preserve staff was educating visitors about wildlife, including Bearded Dragon, Gopher Snake, and Chilean Rose Tarantula. Interestedly, the Chilean Rose Tarantula is 32 years old, which is older than the preserve staff. The preserve staff said the Chilean Rose Tarantula was already there when he visited the preserve as a first-grade student.
