Stevens Creek Shoreline Nature Area

Introduction

On July 19th, 2025, I went on a hike at Stevens Creek Shoreline Nature Area at Mountain View, California. During the hike, I took a few photographs of various birds and wildlife living in the area. The key species identified during the hike were Mourning Dove, House Finch, Anna’s Hummingbird, Snowy Egret, Great Egret, Turkey Vulture, Pigeon, Common Tern, Forster’s Tern, Double-Crested Cormorant, Brown-Headed Cowbird, American White Pelican, and Northern Harrier. This was also the first time I have seen a Northern Harrier. What’s also interesting were a “bald” House Finch and the process of Forster’s Tern feeding offspring were were observed.
