Sunnyvale Baylands Park
Introduction
On July 18th, 2026, I visited Sunnyvale Baylands Park at Sunnyvale, California, for hiking and photography. At first, I thought there would not be many birds to photograph, but I was pleasantly surprised to find a variety of birds in the park. I captured Black Phoebes trying to catch insects in the air and marshes, Elegant Terns catching fish, Snowy Egrets with beautiful tail feathers, Northern Harriers searching for prey in the bushes, Adult Mallard and Chick Black-necked Stilt staying together. I also photographed green feathered Violet-green Swallows and Blue Mud-dauber Wasp for the first time.
This is a fanstastic place for bird photography. Make sure to bring sufficiently large memory cards and extra batteries for camera.
